Welcome to

Sherwood Valley

A resident-owned community

Welcome Home!

Sherwood Valley is a resident-owned manufactured home community in Coventry, R.I. We are a well-maintained, friendly neighborhood. Sherwood Valley is conveniently located just moments from Route 3 and Interstate 95 for easy access to the surrounding area. We are 15 miles from Providence, and nine miles from Cranston.

We are a nicely landscaped community that takes pride in our reputation as a welcoming place to call home. Members enjoy easy access to Johnson’s Pond where we like to fish, kayak and hike. A bike path runs throughout Coventry and is a great way to get exercise nearby. Just a 35 minute drive to the beach, we have plenty of outdoor activities at our fingertips.

We are a caring Adult Community, and we would be happy to introduce you to our neighbors. Sherwood Valley is owned by the community members who live here – we are a resident-owned community (ROC).

Sherwood Valley

is owned by the residents association
members who
live here.

That means

we control
the rent & make
the rules

We own it

That means we control the rent and make the rules. On Jan. 15, 2018, the community members purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Sherwood Valley. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on the Board, how we spend our money, like building the annual budget or making changes to the rent.

We’re also part of a national network of more than 200 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communication with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Sherwood Valley is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out firsthand how that difference makes living here so much better.
